Details Work setting is a 60-bed Medical Telemetry unit (7 East) in an acute care hospital Patient population includes medical patients with telemetry monitoring needs Patient ratio is 1:5 or 1:6 Equipment used includes bladder scanner, vein finder, IV pumps, and wound vacs EMR is Epic Day shift: 0700–1930 Every other weekend required No on-call or call requirements Floating to a similar or lower acuity unit as needed 13-week contract Requirements Active RN license — must meet eligibility requirements for licensure in Missouri or hold a current MO or compact RN license BLS certification from AHA required ACLS certification from AHA preferred Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience in an inpatient setting required U.S. Social Security Number required No employment gaps of 90 or more days within the past 12 months Must be able to stand and walk for most of the shift, with significant bending, stooping, lifting, and turning of patients with assistance; must be able to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. and pinch up to 15 lbs. Additional Information Flu vaccination (or a Mercy-approved exemption) is required for work performed between November 1 and April 1; declinations are not accepted Black scrubs are required Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a local bill rate Up to 5 days of RTO is allowed but must be made up during the assignment Only 1 holiday RTO request is permitted per assignment The facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center, Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Level 1 STEMI Center American Traveler Job ID P-682655.
