People just like you.Role OverviewThe Operator's primary duty is to set up, operate, and monitor SMT machines, including screen printers, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) systems to develop new products. Within the development team, this role partners with Engineering and production support teams to ensure new product readiness for volume manufacture.Roles and ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, and monitor SMT machines, including screen printers, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) systems.Load and unload components and materials onto the SMT line.Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of SMT equipment to ensure optimal performance.Inspect and verify the quality of assembled PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards) using visual inspection and AOI systems.Follow production schedules and work orders to meet delivery targets.Document and report any equipment malfunctions, defects, or quality issues.Collaborate with various engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve production issues and implement process improvements.Adhere to all safety and quality standards and procedures.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Attend and participate in team meetings.Learn other areas that support SMT, such as material management, testing, and assemblyAbility to work 2nd shift (2:00pm - 11:00pm)Required QualificationsAssociate's degree in an Electrical / Electronics discipline from an accredited school or institution (or a High School diploma / GED with at least 5 years of SMT experience)Minimum of 3 years of SMT experienceThis position requires the successful candidate to maintain an IPC-A-610 certificationPreferred Qualifications5+ years of experience operating Mycronic SMT equipment in an aerospace manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of SMT processes, equipment, and materialsAbility to set up, program, troubleshoot, and maintain SMT equipmentAbility to solder and repair PWBsProficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, work instructions, and technical documentation such as schematic diagrams and parts listsExcellent attention to detail and manual dexterityKnowledge of quality standards and regulations, such as IPC-A-610, IPC 610, and J-STDCommitment to safety and quality in all aspects of workFamiliar with Electric Static Discharge precautionsStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficient with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office and PDF ViewersThis role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
