Human Resources Assistant
Job SummaryThe Human Resources Assistant will perform administrative duties related to the operations of the human resource office.Essential Functions Perform administrative duties, such as filing, data entry and maintaining employee database Support payroll processing, timekeeping efforts, maintain proper records of employee attendance and related documentation Assist in policy formulation, rollout and ongoing administration Help with job postings, coordinating recruiting activities, scheduling interviews, shortlist candidates, onboarding new employees Coordinate orientation and training sessions for new employees Ensure smooth communication with employees and timely resolution to their queries Process required paperwork for employee transfers, changes in job classification, and other related employment matters May assist with preparation of human resource reports such as attendance, new hire, and turnover reports Ensure HR practices comply with labor laws and company policies Perform other duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Extensive knowledge of office management systems and procedures. Ability to operate general office equipment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Ability to maintain confidential information. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems Supervisory Responsibilities None Education And Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Bachelor’s degree preferred Administrative training required Two years of administrative assistant or HR experience preferred Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Prolonged periods of standing and walking Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time Requires frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching Requires lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring equipment and materials Other dutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
