SummaryOur client is looking for a Senior Counsel to join its Employment Law and Labor Relations practice group. This position is designed for a seasoned employment attorney who brings demonstrated litigation experience alongside a strong foundation in labor relations and the professional acumen to serve as a trusted advisor to a sophisticated management side client base. The role handles sophisticated matters ranging from administrative charges and EPLI claims to single-plaintiff litigation and complex class, collective, and PAGA actions, delivering the same trusted results clients expect across every stage of a matter. The Senior Counsel will work collaboratively within a collegial practice group, take on meaningful client-facing responsibilities, and contribute to the continued growth of the firm’s employment practice. There is an attractive benefits package that complements the employee from this firm.ResponsibilitiesManage employment litigation matters from initial administrative charge and EPLI claim response through single-plaintiff disputes and complex class, collective, and PAGA actions across federal and state courts.Advise management clients on labor relations matters including union organizing, collective bargaining, unfair labor practice charges, grievance arbitrations, and NLRB proceedings.Provide day-to-day employment counseling on discipline, termination, leaves of absence, accommodations, reductions in force, and wage-and-hour compliance.Draft and review employment agreements, severance agreements, restrictive covenants, handbooks, and workplace policies, and conduct or supervise internal workplace investigations.Support the employment dimensions of corporate transactions, including WARN Act compliance, due diligence, and post-closing integration.Serve as a primary client contact, delivering practical, business-oriented advice while contributing to client development, thought leadership, and practice group growth.QualificationsJuris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.Active bar admission in good standing in at least one jurisdiction; admission in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, or California is preferred.A minimum of five years of substantive employment law experience with a demonstrated litigation background, including administrative charge response, motion practice, discovery, and courtroom or arbitration experience.Our client is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all employees and applicants.
