People like you.Visit our careers page to see what exciting opportunities and company perks await!Job DescriptionMicrochip Technology Inc. is looking for Technical Staff Engineer to work in a team that is implementing advanced verification methodologies to lead pre-silicon verification of 32-bit Microcontroller products.Key Responsibilities IncludeWork with post si validation, architecture, applications, and design teams to understand module and system requirements and develop comprehensive verification plansDefine and develop UVM testbench architecture, test environment and effective suite of tests using mix of System Verilog, and Python to achieve functional verification goalsDevelop effective functional assertions and cover elements Verify structural and functional coverage of module and system level test suiteDevelop scripts to automate verification processProvide guidance and support to the verification development activities of team membersProvide feedback and review of verification activities across multiple business units.Define and develop verification process improvements and methodologies as part of continuous improvementSupport debug of Post Si issues with validation, applications, design, product and testRequirements/QualificationsSolid project management experienceBachelor or Master of Science plus 12+ years work experienceMust have substantial experience in the definition/design, system integration, and applications of foundation IPs - memories (flash, ROM, RAM), IOs, and Standard cellsMust have a track-record proving a thorough understanding of the trade-offs involved in developing foundation IP in an area and power constrained environmentMust be a team playerMust be able to understand the greater system, not just the component currently being developed – to address potential system level impacts early in design/definition process.Must have a high capability to execute practical decisions leading to production worthy designs.Must be able to function in a fast-paced engineering environmentMust be able to communicate well.
