Financial Reporting Manager

Manager, SEC Reporting and Technical AccountingChicago, IL- HybridWe’re partnering with a fast-growing real estate investment and development platform that focuses on creating innovative living experiences and managing a diversified portfolio of residential assets. The team operates in a collaborative, high-accountability environment where finance plays a key role in scaling the business and supporting strategic growth.What you’ll do:• Lead preparation and review of SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K)• Own the close-to-report process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reporting• Partner with finance, legal, and external auditors on reporting and disclosure matters• Support technical accounting research, analysis, and memo preparation• Improve reporting processes, controls, and automation across the close cycle• Contribute to both SEC reporting and broader accounting initiatives across the organizationWho we’re looking for:• 6–9 years of experience in public accounting and/or SEC reporting• Hands-on experience with full-cycle SEC filings (10-Q and 10-K required)• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements• Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment• CPA preferred; Big 4 background is a plusThis is a strong opportunity for someone who wants ownership over SEC reporting, exposure to complex technical accounting, and the ability to influence process and reporting improvements in a growing organization.
