Math Teacher/Tutor
A fast-growing learning center located at the border between Milpitas and Fremont, in San Francisco Bay Area, is recruiting part time Math teachers for students aged 12 to 18. Candidates have to live within commute distance since we do not offer relocation packages for this job. Working hours during the school year are flexible: in late afternoons and evenings on the weekdays, and the whole day on the weekends. In the summer, classes/sessions are held every day from morning to evening.
The hourly wages will be between $67 and $123.5 per teaching hour for group lessons during the school year. The teaching hourly rates purely depend on the number of students in the class; the better you can attract the students to the class, the more you will be paid. In addition, successful teachers will be considered as Partners and share at least an extra 10% profits generated from their classes. Candidates should have or be expecting a 4 year college degree in a related field, and have taught for at least one year. Also, they have to pass a qualification test given by the learning center. Aspiring, current, or retired school teachers are preferred. Experience with SAT preparation is a big plus.
We are an organization dedicated to providing high quality educational programs, and seek candidates who are comfortable with teaching, mentoring, and interacting with students. Our small class sizes of no more than fourteen students allow us to make learning both personal and enjoyable. For our instructors/counselors, we offer a competitive wage and a pleasant work environment. If you are good at teaching, enjoy teaching, and are great with mentoring kids, please join us.
We invite all interested candidates to email their resumes to us for consideration.
