Food and Beverage Assistant

From family-friendly activities to signature Margaritaville celebrations, we deliver fun, escape, and adventure in every moment.As our Food and Beverage Assistant, you will assist in all food and beverage operations on property including the restaurant, deli, snack bar, and room service offerings. You will also assist with special in-house events such as parties, BBQs, concerts, and all other food-related activities.This position may require flexible scheduling availability.RequirementsJob Requirements:Provide data entry of all food and beverage inventory numbers each month and organizes information in the proper format for reviewMaintain current menus within the database and make sure pricing is updated to reflect pricing set by managementEnsure all state and county Health Department licenses and signage is posted as directedProvide data entry of price adjustments and perform a daily audit to ensure guest charges are properly posted to room accountsAssist with ordering and inventory control, monthly inventory counts, reconciling inventory with invoices, and maintaining proper inventory to sustain food and beverage operationsAssist management in ensuring cash drawers are reconciled and the proper amounts of cash are dropped in the safe at the end of each shiftReview cash verification report and the daily reporting of all revenue received on property on a daily basisGenerate daily reports to track salesReport any issues with food and beverage equipment to management and assists in scheduling repairs, as neededProvide data entry for order guides as directed by managementMaintain excellent knowledge of POS system and routinely check system to ensure items are scanning properly Work with vendors to ensure proper billing procedures and net termsEnsure that pricing is properly marked on all food and retail products on the floorAssist with displays and sets in the restaurant and retail areas of the resortJob Qualifications6 months of food and beverage experience is preferredBasic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internetDemonstrated leadership abilitiesStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to multitask, prioritize and manage time General administrative skillsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors.
