Bilingual Customer Service Specialist (Remote, Part-Time - Weekend Required)

We run a food helpline that connects people to the free food resources in their communities, and we're hiring a bilingual (English/Spanish) Customer Service Specialist to join our remote team. What You'll DoYou'll be on the front lines of our text-based helpline, helping people in need find local food resources with empathy and care. Respond to inbound text messages and occasional phone calls Listen without judgment and refer clients to food resources Communicate with warmth, clarity, and cultural humility Collaborate closely with a small, passionate remote team What We're Looking ForMust be fully bilingual in English and Spanish (spoken + written) Strong communicator with deep empathy and patience Typing speed of 50+ WPM Computer required, with strong/stable internet and a quiet place to work–you should have your own suitable remote work setup. Experience in customer service, hospitality, or community care is a plus! This job is 100% remote but must be located in Maryland, Texas, or Georgia Must be available during Eastern Time hours Weekend availability is required (Saturdays and Sundays) ScheduleWeekly hours range from 16 to 20 hours Shifts are between 9am and 6pm ET Friday team meetings via Zoom, every other week Specialists Team Meeting every Tuesday (~1 hour) This schedule is not fixed. Shift assignments, including weekends and weekdays, will change based on helpline volume, team availability, and operational needs. Most weeks will include a combination of Sundays, Saturdays, Mondays, and Tuesdays, but coverage on other days may also be needed.
