Principal Software EngineerLocation: FloridaSalary: up to $130kThis role offers the opportunity to work on revolutionary systems that impact people's lives globally. The position will involve deploying, automating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving systems and software infrastructure.Responsibilities:Develop client presentation materials, including all background research, analysis, and drafting.Familiarity with financial models and other financial analysis.Perform detailed valuation analysis, including discounted cash flow, trading comparables, transaction comparables, and LBO analysis.Support product partners and monitor the entire execution process for transactions, ensuring timely execution to meet client expectations.Adhere to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with all applicable regulatory standards, requirements, and policies.Design, implement, and manage application builds, releases, deployments, and configurations.Collaborate with internal business partners to gather requirements, prototype, and architect complex solutions.Perform quality reviews, triage, and fix operational issues.Assist with the integration, troubleshooting, and testing of software changes.Engage in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements development, modeling and design, application development, testing, integration, release, installation, and maintenance.Essential Functions:Travel up to 50% of the time.Full lifecycle design, implementation, and unit testing of software.Apply extensive technical expertise and knowledge of related disciplines.Communicate technical approaches and findings effectively.Provide technical solutions to complex problems that align with program objectives.Develop software products throughout all phases of the software lifecycle.Work independently and collaboratively to identify and solve complex problems.Represent the organization as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects.Interact with senior external personnel on significant technical matters requiring coordination.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 5+ years of experience in software engineering, or a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline with 3+ years of experience.Development experience with C/C++ or other object-oriented programming (OOP) languages.Experience developing software in Linux and Windows environments.Experience debugging software in both desktop and target environments.Experience with software or systems testing.Strong oral and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills.Experience with Agile software development.Experience with configuration management using industry-standard tools and processes.Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance.Ability to obtain and maintain special program access.Preferred Qualifications:Master’s degree with related experience.Active DoD Top Secret clearance with issue/reissue in the last 5 years, SCI, and the ability to obtain and maintain special program access.Experience with COMSEC equipment.CompTIA Security Plus certification.CompTIA Linux Plus certification.Experience leading a team.Experience with Windows, Linux, and/or VxWorks development.Familiarity with the Atlassian tool suite with add-ons like Git and Confluence.Familiarity with the Agile software development process.Join the Team:Contribute to groundbreaking projects and be part of a team that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
