Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required, 3 years preferred License: Compact or state license required upon submission Certifications: BLS, AWHONN Intermediate for L&D RN, CPI required for all CNA and ER nurses Must-Have: - Previous experience with neonates, adults, and geriatrics - Epic charting system experience - Circulator experience - Travel experience required Description: Please ensure the traveler is aware of the expectations related to possible emergency team assignments. Upon accepting an assignment, the unit manager may assign the nurse to an emergency team. There will be an expectation to stay until after the event passes or to be part of the relief team. Specific details regarding pay for any emergency events will be communicated as circumstances vary. Nurses should apply for this position only if they are comfortable with these expectations. On-call requirement is three call shifts every four weeks, including two weeknight and one weekend call shift. Travelers must bring up their requested time off in the interview to avoid potential rescinding of offers. Charge nurses will not be accepted for this role. Daily patient demographics will include neonates, adults, and geriatrics, with specific experience in surgery required. The organization is not accepting local travelers, and candidates must be over 65 miles from the site address. Resources previously employed or contracted must have been separated for one full year. NURSYS reports for RNs must be submitted, and they should be updated within four weeks of submission. All modules completed during orientation will be billable.
