This position requires exceptional attention to detail, a strong safety mindset, and professionalism when representing the company with customers, vendors, and regulatory agencies.Responsibilities And DutiesFuel Delivery & OperationsSafely operate fuel delivery trucks to transport fuel to assigned locationsLoad and unload fuel products following all safety protocols and company proceduresVerify delivery accuracy and maintain thorough records of all fuel transfersEnsure tanks, hoses, and valves are properly connected and secured during deliveriesVehicle Inspections & MaintenanceConduct complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehiclesReport maintenance needs or mechanical issues promptly to the appropriate departmentMaintain cleanliness and readiness of assigned truck and equipment at all timesSafety & ComplianceAdhere to all federal, state, and local regulations governing the transport of hazardous materialsFollow company safety procedures, including the use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE)Remain alert to potential hazards and report unsafe conditions or incidents immediatelyMaintain current medical and DOT certifications in accordance with FMCSA standardsCustomer Service & RepresentationInteract professionally with customers at delivery sites to ensure satisfaction and resolve inquiriesRepresent the company positively through courteous communication and professional conductCollaborate effectively with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveriesDocumentation & ReportingAccurately complete delivery logs, fuel tickets, and required documentationMaintain current driver and vehicle records in compliance with DOT regulationsSubmit all paperwork in a timely and organized manner as required by company policyEmergency Response PreparednessBe trained and prepared to respond to emergency situations while on duty or drivingFollow all emergency and spill containment procedures as outlined in safety trainingEducation And Work ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredMinimum 2 years of commercial driving experience requiredValid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker EndorsementsFamiliarity with DOT regulations and safety procedures for transporting hazardous materialsPrevious experience in fuel delivery or petroleum transport strongly preferredStrong knowledge of safe fuel handling and spill prevention practicesSkill SetExcellent driving and safety recordStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to read, write, and speak English fluentlyDemonstrated reliability and consistent attendanceSelf-motivated with the ability to work independentlyProficiency with electronic devices such as tablets, cell phones, and e-logsStrong problem-solving and time management abilitiesPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
