From the largest global enterprises to local commercial businesses, our STS team provides customized solutions that leverage our vast purchasing, warehousing, delivery, and logistics and to meet customers everyday business needs.Position Summary:The Key Account Rep – is an integral part of the technology sales model designed to collaboratively sell with high performing Account Executive teams in a dedicated motion. This role will act as a sales resource that will assist and support the Technology Account Executive (AE) within their existing customer base and as well was uncover and develop new opportunities (Computing Devices including Software and Services, Transactional Print Hardware, MPS and Toner in Sequoia) for these customers.This role will ensure that Customers aligned to the Technology Account Executives book of business have positive experiences which increases their satisfaction with Technology products and services.Also, the KEY ACCOUNT REP will be responsible for supporting the relationships with Customers, monitoring the delivery of all products, services, and programs to them by partnering with Project Managers and Customer Service for large and Complex projects.Primary Responsibilities:The Key Account Rep will primarily be focused on supporting the Account Executives (AE’s), while learning the Computing and Print industry through education and development with Customer Care, Products, Solutions, Distribution and Sourcing.Work directly with assigned AE’s, AM’s & RSD’s to identify, cultivate and pursue opportunities to drive further customer Computing and Print category penetration via telephone and in-person as neededContribute to the development of solutions and proposals for both programmatic and transactional opportunitiesFocus on customer retention and the following activities:Penetrate accounts with multiple locations with local buying decisionsAssist in growth of new customersSupport the Sales Team as needed to prepare for and follow up after sales calls/sales activitiesSupport bid initiatives including entering, submission, order tracking and follow-up with the different internal departmentsProvide pricing & follow-up to external sales field and customerAct as the point of contact for the customer when the Technology Seller is unavailableDevelop selling skills of qualifying, strategizing, sales call tactics, closing, and maintaining service levelsUnderstand the key technology processes for sourcing, order fulfillment, and project managementLearn the primary Staples operating platforms (Sunrise and Sequoia)Ad Hoc Support - includes requests from sales field, manager and leadership team for account and departmental initiativesEngage OEM’s and Distributors as needed to get the best cost and product availabilityComplete job-related training courses and/or seminars, as may be required for the job and/or assigned by ManagerActs as external client advocate with internal partnersCollaborates and takes ownership with internal managers and team members on standardization and process improvement to increase customer satisfactionMaintain & regularly update EOL products & EDI CatalogsAssist on program rollouts, implementations, and retention/sales growth related projectsResolve issues to the customers through experience and utilization of available resources including Customer Service, Logistics, Credit & Collections and IT.Qualifications:Basic:Minimum 4-5 years related Sales or Sales Support work experienceMinimum of 2-3 years of Technology Hardware Experience preferredProven self-starter with energy and motivation to uncover, develop and close sales with ability to work independently with minimal supervisionMust be results oriented and driven by both financial and career opportunitiesDemonstrate strong time management skillsDemonstrate strong verbal and written communication skillsContext-switching expert: the ability to balance multiple concurrent responsibilities of varying priorities and to shift focus from one to another with minimal loss of productivity or work quality.Preferred:Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Proficient in Salesforce.comBachelor's DegreeIndustry KnowledgeBusiness process impact knowledgeInterested in joining the team?
