Job Title: Salesforce Developer (Contract)Job Summary:This is initially a 6-month contract, with the potential for conversion to a permanent position. Conversion will be determined by performance and the ongoing needs of the business.We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable Salesforce solutions. This role focuses on custom development, integrations, and platform architecture, working closely with product managers, Salesforce administrators, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable and extensible functionality across Salesforce orgs. The ideal candidate balances declarative and programmatic solutions and builds with long-term maintainability in mind.Responsibilities:Design and develop Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and Custom MetadataBuild and maintain managed and unmanaged packagesImplement secure, scalable integrations using REST or SOAP APIs, platform events, and asynchronous processingDesign clean, extensible data models with strong referential integrityWrite testable, well-documented code following Salesforce best practicesCollaborate with Salesforce administrators on declarative versus programmatic tradeoffsParticipate in code reviews, release planning, and CI/CD processesDiagnose and resolve production issues and performance bottlenecksSupport compatibility across multiple Salesforce orgs and third-party packagesQualifications:Three or more years of hands-on Salesforce development experienceStrong proficiency in Apex, including triggers and asynchronous patternsExperience building Lightning Web ComponentsStrong working knowledge of SOQL and SOSLExperience with Salesforce data modeling and security, including profiles, permission sets, and sharingExperience building integrations using APIs and authentication mechanismsSolid understanding of Salesforce governor limitsFamiliarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Salesforce DXPreferred Skills & Experience with the following:Experience building or supporting managed packagesExperience using Custom Metadata Types for configuration-driven architecturesFamiliarity with industry-specific Salesforce packagesSalesforce Platform Developer I certificationExperience with event-driven architectures such as Platform Events or Change Data CaptureExperience leveraging AI tools in development workflows, such as using AI-assisted coding, automation, and analysis to improve code quality, development speed, and solution designExposure to enterprise SaaS product developmentSuccess in this role means delivering features without breaking downstream customizations, building integrations that are reliable and resilient to change, designing data models that are clean and easy for administrators to extend, and writing readable, testable code that other developers can easily maintain.Location:Case Status is located in Charleston, SC.
