Accounting Manager

A growing utility-scale renewable energy platform is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to support the financial operations of a diversified portfolio of solar, wind, and energy storage assets. This role will partner closely with executive leadership, finance, accounting, and M&A teams to oversee core accounting operations, financial reporting, audit coordination, tax support, and acquisition integration activities.Key ResponsibilitiesLead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including general ledger management, reconciliations, consolidations, and financial statement preparationMaintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls in compliance with GAAP and industry standardsOversee accounting for renewable energy-specific items including energy revenues, RECs, tax equity structures, PP&E, and project finance activitiesCoordinate annual audits and serve as a primary liaison with external auditors and consultantsSupport tax compliance, tax equity reporting, and project-level financing and reserve account activitiesPartner with FP&A, Treasury, Asset Management, and M&A teams on reporting, diligence, and acquisition integration initiativesConduct technical accounting research and prepare accounting memos related to complex accounting topicsMentor and develop accounting team members while driving process improvements and automation initiativesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; advanced degree preferredCPA strongly preferred7+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibilitiesPrior experience within renewable energy, power, infrastructure, utilities, or project-financed environments preferredKnowledge of solar, wind, battery storage, tax equity structures, and project finance accounting highly desirableStrong analytical, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentThis is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing clean energy platform and play a key role in scaling accounting operations across a dynamic portfolio of renewable generation assets.
