This individual will have full responsibility for the finance and accounting functions, including government contract compliance, systems integration, payroll and tax oversight, budgeting, and reporting. Ideal candidates are CPA-certified with over a decade of leadership experience in small to mid-sized organizations and bring deep expertise in NetSuite, government contracting (DCAA), and enterprise financial systems.Remote/ Some travelFull TimeQualificationsCPA requiredMinimum 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience in small to mid-size companiesPrior experience as a finance leader with full departmental responsibilityAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, macros, complex modeling)In-depth NetSuite user and administrator experience across modules listed aboveFamiliarity with DCAA requirements and cost accounting standardsWorking knowledge of Concur, CashPro, and corporate card systemsProficiency in corporate and payroll tax managementKey ResponsibilitiesLeadership & OversightFull responsibility for the accounting and finance departmentSupervise month-end close, general ledger maintenance, and financial reportingManage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planningERP & Systems ExpertiseDeep hands-on experience with NetSuite, including modules for:Finance and general ledgerProcure-to-pay and order-to-cashInventory and project accountingHR, Admin, and Timesheet trackingIntegrate Concur expense system via Wipli or similar middlewareMaintain and monitor Bank of America CashPro and corporate card usage or equivalent treasury systemsGovernment ComplianceEnsure full compliance with DCAA, including labor distribution, direct/indirect cost allocations, billing standards, and project reportingUnderstand federal invoicing requirements and support audits and rate negotiationsGenerate project status reports (PSRs) and cost performance reports as neededTax & Payroll OversightManage corporate and payroll tax compliance in coordination with external advisorsEnsure proper classification and timely payment of taxesOperational ExcellenceDevelop and maintain internal financial controls and policiesSupport pricing and proposal development for government and SLED contractsDeliver financial insights to the executive team to support strategic growth
