Sr. Piping Design Engineer Lead

Job Description NSC Staffing is currently hiring a Sr. Piping Designer. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD 3D, Navisworks and Ship Constructor. Additionally, the candidate must be able to design and/or check piping related equipment, piping arrangements, spool drawings, pumps, motors, and valves.This position is located on-site at a shipyard in R.I.Come work in beautiful Rhode Island. Enjoy the crisp ocean breeze invigorating your senses every day.DutiesDesign and check piping related equipmentSpool DrawingsCheck Production Packages by traditional Red-Line and Back-Fix methodsEnsure production packages match functional designEnsured all required BOMs and Reports are included and accurateEnsure that all information suits shipyard fabrication methods and toolsMentor less experienced engineering's personnelSkills And Requirements2 Years of Navisworks experience5 Years of AutoCAD experience10 Years of experienced in Detailed Design in shipbuildingRelated associates degree or additional 5 years of experienceKnowledge of ABS and USCG Rules and regulationsMust be very knowledgeable on piping connection detailsEnsure all details are based on Good Shipbuilding PracticesMust be proficient at MS Office Applications, especially Excel, Outlook and WordPhysical Requirements For Essential FunctionsAbility to climb stairs, ladders, kneel, squat, walk, sit, or stoop.
