As we continue to grow, we seek professionals who share our commitment to these values.Position Overview:The Controller will play a key role in owning and improving the company’s accounting function, supporting financial operations, and helping drive process improvements across the organization. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance & CFO, this position is ideal for someone who can balance strong technical accounting skills with a practical, solutions-oriented mindset.Key Responsibilities:General AccountingTake ownership of job costing and unit price billingDrive Process improvements, automation, and system optimization (Foundation Software)Oversee daily accounting operations including AP, AR and take ownership of general ledgerPrepare and maintain general ledger entries in compliance with GAAP.Reconcile bank accounts and other accounts as needed.Assist with month-end and year-end closing, including journal entries and financial analysis.Prepare and submit various monthly and quarterly tax filings.Financial ReportingManage month end and year end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights for decision-making.Support external audit, tax and ESOP related reporting requirements.Compliance & DocumentationEnsure compliance with all accounting and payroll regulations.Maintain accurate and organized records to support audits and regulatory reporting.Collaboration & Process ImprovementWork closely with the VP of Finance & CFO to support financial analysis and strategic planning.Assist CFO in rolling out additional modules in Foundation Accounting Software.Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting and payroll processes.Qualifications:Required:Bachelor’s degree in accounting.5 – 10 years of accounting experience (construction industry strongly preferred)Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Excel skills.Ability to solve problems and think independently.Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.Preferred:Experience in construction, industrial services or project-based accounting.Experience with Foundation Accounting Software and sister platforms.Proven ability to enhance financial processes and leverage technology.Compensation & Benefits:Competitive pay based on experience.Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401K retirement plan, ESOP, and PTO.On-site position.
