In this role you will be responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift. Responsible for prioritizing the delivery of direct nursing care using time and resources efficiently integrating a standards-based framework model.How you grow, learn and thrive matters here.• Educational and career development options, including tuition and certification reimbursement, scholarship opportunities• Staff Safety (a wearable badge that allows nurses to quickly and discreetly call for help when safety is a concern)• Differentials for night/weekend shifts, higher education, certifications and various lead roles (for eligible positions)• Malpractice liability insurance• Loan forgiveness through the New Mexico Higher Education Department • EPIC electronic charting system Type of Opportunity: Full time FTE: 0.90 Job Exempt: No Work Shift: 12 Hour Nights (United States of America) Responsibilities:Patient Care: Assess, monitor, and manage the physical and emotional well-being of patients during labor, delivery, and recovery.Fetal Monitoring: Perform and interpret fetal heart rate monitoring and other diagnostic tests to ensure maternal and fetal health.Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals during deliveries, including assisting with cesarean sections or emergency procedures.Provide care and education to new mothers on breastfeeding, infant care, and postpartum recovery.Administer prescribed medications, IV fluids, and epidurals while monitoring for any adverse reactions.Respond quickly to obstetric emergencies, including hemorrhage, fetal distress, or neonatal complications.Sign on and relocation bonuses available for qualified candidates.
