OUTSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVEREMOTE (Houston, TX)24283Our client is looking for an Outside Sales Representative who will be tasked to develop, maintain, and grow relationships with customers. You will own the dealer relationship and buyer relationship with key customers in a defined Distribution Center market, the Greater Houston area. You will also work independently and is self-directed, while still operating as part of an integrated local sales team focused on delivering value to customers and achieving sales and margin growth expectations. In addition, you will apply experience to drive growth in scale (i.e., customer base, broader market coverage) and ensure superior value is delivered to customers in support of primary demand efforts. Lastly, you will be responsible for promoting and selling Distribution's full range of products, including engineered wood, commodities, and specialty building products. WHAT YOU GET TO DOEstablishes, cultivates, and protects the dealer relationship and buyer relationship with key customers, typically those greater in size and complexity.Strategies in support of delivering superior value to customers and growing wallet share and profitability.Uses market knowledge and relationships to seek out opportunities with new and existing customers for Distribution's full range of products.Gathers market intelligence and translates it into valuable input to drive decisions around product mix, pricing, inventory levels, and demand outlook. Uses that input to help drive decision-making.Develops and executes marketing and communication plans with customers, including promotions, specials, market pull-through activities, and updates to products, pricing, and service.WHAT YOU BRING Proven success supporting large and complex accounts, including building and maintaining executive relationships, developing programs and promotions, negotiating solutions to improve profitability and customer satisfaction.Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.Strong communications skills (authentic, adaptive, persuasive).Analyzes the customer's business and develops solutions leveraging Distribution products and services.Successfully collaborates within a team environment and reaches across organizational and functional boundaries.Experience with building materials products. Strong knowledge of Distribution Center's products, their selling features/ benefits, and the competitive products around them.Understands and articulates financial drivers of retail, wholesale, and construction industry.Minimum HS Diploma/GED.Candidate must reside in the greater Houston area.5+ yrs experience in building materials, 3+ years in wood/lumber distribution outside sales.Must be able to work for a US based company without requiring visa sponsorship.COMPENSATION AND BENEFITSSalary range is $80,000 - $105,000 based on shift, experience and qualifications, as well as geographical market and business considerations.MORE ABOUT WIMMER SOLUTIONSWimmer Solutions is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
