Project Coordinator/Estimator
Job Description
Coordinate and collaborate with fabricators, engineers, contractors, production and purchasing agents to estimate the total project cost and time necessary, to ensure the project meets the desired specifications and remains within budgetAnalyze project requirements and create accurate cost and time estimatesConsideration must be given to factors such as materials, labor, equipment, and overhead expenses to determine the total cost of a projectThe goal is to provide reliable estimates that enable effective decision-making for successful project completion, working alongside the entire teamAnalyzing project requirements and determining the scope of workEvaluate project risks and develop contingency plansReview and analyze project plans and specifications to identify potential cost-saving opportunitiesPrepare and present proposals to clients and stakeholdersMonitor project costs and provide regular progress reportsContinuously improve estimating processes and techniques to increase accuracy and efficiencyNest quote components using Sigmanest software to ensure efficient use of material in quotesPerform design reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings and modelsDevelop Bills of Materials (BOM)Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all designs and modificationsWork collaboratively with other members of the design and manufacturing teams to ensure that designs are feasible and can be manufactured efficiently and within project allocated budgetStay up-to-date on current trends in the industry and make recommendations to the leadership teamStay up-to-date on emerging technology and make recommendations to the leadership teamOther responsibilities as directedRequirementsAt least 3 - 5 years of experience as an Estimator, Project Coordinator, or similar roleProficient in the use of CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Edrawings, etc.) and other related design toolsMUST HAVE Experience in steel fabrication, sheet metal design, and mechanical part designStrong knowledge of manufacturing processes and materialsStrong understanding of construction and fabrication principles and design processesAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsAbility to read and understand electrical schematicsExcellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teamsDetail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skillsStrong project management skills with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlinesProficient in Microsoft office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)SCHEDULE & PAY1st Shift$24 - $30 hr DOEText Message Opt-InBy submitting your resume to this job posting you are opting in to receive text messages as a form of communication from our company.
