Active Wisconsin RN licensure is required. Documentation of flu vaccination is necessary. Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and either TNCC or TNS are essential. The nurse will utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in the care of patients. Medications and treatments will be administered in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, and standards of care. Documentation must adhere to standards of care. The nurse will perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care. Developing, initiating, and executing a patient plan of care according to the individual needs of the patient is required. The nurse will participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance. Clinical expertise and guidance will be provided to other departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care. Critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience will be utilized, with appropriate escalation to the chain of command when necessary. Participation in the professional nursing continuum process, unit practice activities, decisions, and peer review processes is expected.
