Title: Senior Vice President Chief Lending & Credit OfficerLocation: Marin County (open to candidates in San Rafael, Novato, Petaluma, Mill Valley, San Anselmo, etc.)Overview:A well-capitalized Northern California community bank is seeking a commercially minded senior banking executive with strong credit expertise to help diversify the loan portfolio, mentor lending staff, and help shape the next phase of the institution.This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for someone who combines strong commercial credit skills with relationship banking experience, leadership maturity, and the ability to help thoughtfully diversify and strengthen a long-standing loan portfolio.The bank has an exceptionally clean credit history, strong capital levels, and a collaborative executive team. Leadership is focused on careful, strategic growth rather than aggressive expansion and is looking for someone who can help build upon an already stable foundation while bringing additional commercial banking depth to the institution.This is not a pure production role and not a siloed credit administration role. The ideal candidate will be comfortable wearing multiple hats, participating in executive-level discussions, mentoring lenders and credit staff, and remaining hands-on in the underwriting and structuring process when needed.Responsibilities:Personally underwrite and structure commercial loansHelp diversify and strengthen the loan portfolioMaintain strong credit quality and sound underwriting standardsMentor and develop lending and credit staffParticipate in loan committee and executive leadership discussionsHelp build additional commercial banking infrastructure and depthSupport relationship-based business development effortsPartner closely with executive leadership on long-term strategyIdeal Background:Strong commercial lending and credit backgroundExperience with commercial real estate, owner-user, small business, and C&I relationship-based commercial lendingHands-on underwriting and credit structuring experienceLeadership or team management experienceCommunity bank experience strongly preferredAbility to operate effectively in a collaborative, relationship-driven environmentExecutive presence with a low-ego, team-oriented leadership styleThis opportunity may be especially attractive to a very senior cradle-to-grave commercial relationship manager, team lead, or emerging lending executive seeking a broader leadership seat with greater strategic influence and visibility.Compensation: Base salary is expected to start at $150K and go up to $200K+ depending on experience and overall fit. Flexibility may exist for an exceptionally strong profile; however, candidates should generally be comfortable with a compensation structure centered around a base salary in that range before applying.Incentive compensation, bonus structure, and long-term growth opportunity will be discussed directly with qualified candidates during the interview process.
