This team serves as the critical connective tissue for our organization - acting as a strategic translator and partner to both field operations and our corporate Digital/IT organization. Rather than working in an isolated silo, you will be the driving force that aligns field realities with enterprise-grade data technology.In this role, you will design and own the data blueprint for an expansive operational ecosystem. You will orchestrate the ingestion of data from Snowflake into a centralized analytical warehouse, synthesizing inputs from telematics, enterprise ERP/CRM platforms, and custom business applications. Crucially, your strategic vision will guide full-cycle data architecture—ensuring our data models seamlessly support and integrate with downstream applications, specifically Power Apps and Dataverse, to power automated workflows and operational tools. This position demands a rare combination of technical sophistication and corporate diplomacy. You will proactively build collaborative data governance with business leaders, while skillfully navigating the structured processes, change-management protocols, and technical queues of a mature corporate IT environment.Key Responsibilities1. Enterprise Architecture & StrategyData Estate Vision: Own the architectural roadmap for the operations data warehouse, designing scalable structures that handle existing nightly and hourly batches while preparing for future real-time integrations.System Integration Mapping: Trace and map complex data lineage across a diverse ecosystem, ensuring upstream transactional applications, core enterprise ERP/CRM data tables, and field telematics systems integrate cleanly into a unified data layer.Unified Semantic Modeling: Architect, scale, document, and govern the central Operations Analytics Unified Semantic Model, creating a single source of truth that field users can trust implicitly.Technology Adaptation: Leverage your deep expertise in enterprise data warehousing to learn, apply, and maximize the capabilities of our Microsoft Fabric platform, optimizing its components to support high-velocity operations reporting.2. Stakeholder Collaboration & "The Bridge"Collaborative Data Governance: Work hand-in-hand with field operations and business partners to co-create an agile, collaborative data governance framework. Navigate conflicting business definitions to establish clear, standardized KPIs.IT Navigation & Advocacy: Act as the politically savvy, technically credible liaison to our corporate Digital/IT team. Successfully advocate for the business by navigating rigid ticketing queues, strict change-management protocols, and complex IT environments to secure necessary data source additions or updates in Snowflake.Business Transformation: Actively engage with operations leadership to identify data gaps, surface new analytical opportunities, and translate complex field logistics challenges into structured technical requirements.3. Front-End Modeling & Downstream AlignmentPower BI Data Architecture: Design robust, high-performance Power BI tabular data models and efficient DAX calculations that scale smoothly for self-service exploration and executive-level dashboarding.Application Data Harmony: Ensure data warehouse models are architected with a deep understanding of transactional data behavior, creating clean feedback loops with operational business applications.QualificationsProfessional & Strategic AttributesSystems Thinker: An innate ability to look at an enterprise-scale logistics business and understand how a change in a field application impacts data flows all the way through to executive reporting.Strategic Autonomy: Comfortable working in ambiguous spaces, driving projects forward with minimal supervision, and establishing consensus among diverse stakeholders.The Diplomat Personality: Exceptional emotional intelligence (EQ) and diplomacy. You have a proven ability to remain patient, focused, and effective when working with structured, formal IT processes, while maintaining the agility needed to support fast-paced business operations.Technical Skills & ExperienceEnterprise Data Modeling Mastery: Expert-level understanding of relational database structures, dimensional data modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas), and enterprise data warehouse patterns.Business Application Architecture & Design: Strong understanding of relational application database design, with specific experience modeling data structures to support transactional business applications, with preference given to professionals familiar with the Microsoft Power Platform environment.Advanced SQL & Data Pipelines: Expert SQL skills and solid experience extracting, transforming, and orchestrating data pipelines out of modern cloud data warehouses like Snowflake.Business Intelligence Foundations: Deep proficiency in enterprise business intelligence design, with extensive experience architecture tabular models and performance-tuning DAX within Power BI.Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related quantitative field. 5+ years of experience in enterprise analytics architecture or senior data engineering roles.
