Director of Operations

A leading organization in the Automation Equipment Manufacturing Industry is seeking a Director of Operations in the Greater Nashville, TN areaKey Responsibilities:Lead cross-functional operations across manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and project delivery teams.Develop and execute strategies that improve throughput, operational efficiency, and on-time project execution.Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and KPI-driven decision making.Oversee production planning, resource allocation, quality systems, and safety compliance.Partner with engineering and technical teams to support automation deployment and manufacturing innovation.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or related field; advanced degree preferred.7+ years of leadership experience within industrial automation, or custom capital equipment manufacturing environments.Strong knowledge of PLCs, robotics, control systems, ERP/MES platforms, and automation technologies.Proven success leading large-scale manufacturing operations and cross-functional teams.Lean, Six Sigma, PMP, or similar certifications highly preferred.
