You’ll work directly with clients, tackle complex problems in manufacturing environments, and play a key role in growing FTE’s business. From shaping client engagements to developing internal capabilities, your leadership will help drive meaningful change—for both our clients and our firm.This is a high-impact, full-time role with a pay-for-performance bonus structure and significant travel (up to 75%).What You'll DoBusiness DevelopmentBlend of sales and operations leadership - expected to actively generate new business by leveraging an established professional network, while also prospecting and engaging potential clients to support the firm’s broader sales and relationship-building effortsDevelop business proposals, SOWs, and other reportsMeet gross revenue and margin targets to ensure profitability alignmentDirect strategic initiatives for lead generation, revenue growth, and vertical expansionImplement comprehensive sales plans and leverage personal networks to secure meetingsConduct market research to identify trends and implement innovative sales techniquesCase ManagementPlan and manage multiple projects effectivelyFacilitate stakeholder meetings to define project scope, budget, and timelinesDrive project success from inception to delivery by overseeing team scoping, staffing, execution and risk mitigationMaintain frequent client communications, visits, and customer satisfactionProvide support to teams and guide efforts to deliver strategic and sustainable solutionsFirm BuildingEngage in internal training initiatives to enhance skills and contribute to a culture of continuous learningDevelop intellectual capital to build the FTE brand (i.e. technology, white papers, networking)Continuously work to develop, document, and improve FTE business processes and our approach and output for client caseworkParticipate in annual business planning and internal project executionParticipate in vetting of candidates seeking to join FTE’s Core Team or Advisory NetworkWhat You'll BringPrior experience in operational management consulting or related professional services industriesMinimum 5+ years of business development and relevant Industry experience5-10 years of diverse work experience as a manager within one or more of the following disciplines: Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Factory Operations, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or Quality EngineeringProficiency in Lean Manufacturing and Industrial EngineeringAbility to articulate solutions to clients at all organizational levelsCollaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions addressing client needsStrong communication skills in oral, written, and presentation formatsDemonstrated leadership in managing high-performing teams under tight deadlines and dynamic conditionsA strategic mindset with a history of developing and executing growth-focused initiativesA natural relationship-builder who drives engagement across internal teams, clients, and external partnersStrong negotiation capabilities, with a keen ability to balance client objectives and business outcomesA passion for coaching and mentoring others to solve complex challenges and grow professionallyConfidence and polish as a facilitator, able to lead client sessions and communicate with clarity and impactBachelor's degree required; MBA preferredBonus Points if You HaveIndustry background in Aerospace & DefenseActive Security ClearanceProven experience in coaching problem-solving skills (quantitative, conceptual, analytical)Proven ability to deliver results through influential leadership vs. positional powerExperience with CRM software, particularly HubSpotWhy Join FTE Factory AdvisorsBe part of a close-knit team that values integrity, grit, and hands-on impactWork in a high-autonomy, high-trust environment that rewards performanceEngage directly with senior client leaders and make a visible differenceAccelerate your professional growth alongside industry experts
