Employee Relations Specialist | Fairfax, VA (Hybrid)We are partnering with a premier organization to identify an accomplished Employee Relations Specialist who brings strong expertise in workplace relations, employment law, investigations, and strategic HR partnership. This is a high-visibility opportunity to influence workplace culture, mitigate risk, and support leaders in driving employee performance and engagement.📍 Location: Hybrid – Fairfax, VA (Hybrid)📅 Contract Duration: 6 to 7 Months (with potential extension)Key Responsibilities:• Serve as a strategic advisor to leaders and employees on employee relations matters, performance management, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation• Lead complex workplace investigations, document findings, and recommend appropriate corrective actions aligned with legal and organizational standards• Manage cases involving attendance, conduct, disciplinary actions, grievances, and performance improvement initiatives• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws including EEO, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, and related regulations• Analyze workforce trends including turnover, exit feedback, and engagement metrics to provide data-driven recommendations• Partner closely with Legal Counsel on litigation matters, hearings, and employment-related risk management• Support enterprise HR initiatives, process improvements, and team training effortsIdeal Candidate Profile:✔ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent professional experience✔ Proven experience in employee relations, investigations, and HR compliance✔ Strong working knowledge of employment law and workplace best practices✔ Exceptional communication, judgment, and stakeholder management skills✔ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with discretion and professionalism✔ PHR / SHRM-CP / SPHR / SHRM-SCP certifications preferredWhy This Opportunity Stands Out:This role offers the chance to work within a respected enterprise environment where your expertise will directly shape employee experience, leadership effectiveness, and organizational success.
