Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) Technical Lead / Platform Engineer – 1099 Contract Location: U.S. Onshore – Primarily Remote Preferred Location: Rochester, MN and Central Time Zone states Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor Experience: 7+ Years About the Role We are seeking an experienced Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) Technical Lead / Platform Engineer to support and enhance an enterprise Adobe digital experience environment. The role will focus on Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Adobe Real-Time CDP (RT-CDP), and Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), including customer data integration, audience activation, journey orchestration, production support, and platform improvements. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on Adobe platform experience along with enterprise integration, troubleshooting, and technical leadership skills. Key Responsibilities Provide technical leadership and hands-on support for AEP, RT-CDP, and AJO. Design and support customer data ingestion, schemas, identity resolution, profiles, audiences, and activation workflows. Develop and maintain integrations between Adobe platforms, enterprise applications, APIs, and marketing technologies. Support customer journey orchestration and campaign execution. Troubleshoot production issues and integration failures and perform root cause analysis. Support platform releases, deployments, configuration changes, and production activities. Develop automation to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual processes. Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, runbooks, and support procedures. Collaborate with engineering, product, marketing, data, and security teams. Support initiatives involving consent and preference management platforms. Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience working with enterprise digital marketing, customer engagement, or customer data platforms. Hands-on experience with: Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) Adobe Real-Time CDP (RT-CDP) Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) Experience with customer data ingestion, identity resolution, customer profiles, audience segmentation, and activation. Experience with journey orchestration and event-driven customer experiences. Experience integrating enterprise platforms using REST APIs, JSON, and OAuth. Experience supporting production SaaS platforms and enterprise integrations. Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills. Experience creating technical documentation and operational procedures. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Oracle Eloqua. Experience with Transcend or similar consent and preference management platforms. Experience within the broader Adobe Experience Cloud ecosystem. Experience in healthcare, financial services, insurance, or other regulated industries. Experience with automation, DevOps practices, or operational improvements for SaaS platforms. Work Arrangement This is a U.S.-based 1099 independent contractor opportunity. The role is primarily remote. Candidates located in Rochester, MN and Central Time Zone states are preferred based on collaboration requirements. Pay: Up to $80.00 per hour Work Location: Hybrid remote in Rochester, MN
