As such we intend on developing a pool of interested and eligible candidates who can be utilized when our clients make their requests.About The SEIBI RoleSEIBI Technicians play a critical role in equipment verification, installation readiness, production trial support, and equipment confirmation across both new model programs and ongoing production operations.Assignments May IncludePaint shop automation & roboticsBattery pack assembly systemsVehicle manufacturing equipmentConveyors, torque tools, logistics automation, and safety interlocksThis is a hands-on, technical field role that works closely with engineers, vendors, suppliers, and plant teams to ensure safety, quality, and productivity targets are achieved.Key ResponsibilitiesEquipment & Process SupportSupport equipment installation, commissioning, and trial-based confirmationsPerform Seibi checks for Safety, Electrical, and Mechanical design complianceVerify equipment against Toyota standards and production requirementsReview mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, and safety interlock logicSupport adjustments to meet targets for Safety, Quality, Delivery, and ProductivityRobotics & Controls (Paint, Assembly, Pack, etc.)Online robot programming (e.g., paint robots, sealing, UBC, dampening, material handling)Offline robot simulation, reach studies, and cycle time analysisEvaluate and adjust robot paths, parameters, and quality outcomesPLC, Controls & Industrial AutomationSupport PLC programming and troubleshooting (Toyopuc, Allen Bradley, Omron, Siemens)Assist with vision systems (Keyence or similar), sensors, I/O, safety relays, and device testsConfirm conveyor, AGV/AMR, and material handling hardware operationVendor Trials & BuyoffsPerform Seibi confirmations during vendor buyoff trialsSupport equipment evaluations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and JapanValidate safety, cycle times, operation availability, and equipment qualityDocumentation & CommunicationCreate handover documents, snapshots, and process confirmation recordsMaintain detailed reports, checklists, KPIs, and punchlist itemsCommunicate effectively with engineering, vendors, and global teamsRequired Qualifications2-year technical degree, trade school certification, or 3+ years equivalent technical experienceHands-on experience with industrial equipment installation, troubleshooting, or commissioningAbility to read mechanical/electrical drawingsExperience with PLC programming or troubleshooting (Toyopuc, AB, Omron, Siemens)Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams)Ability to work overtime (up to ~25%) and support weekend/holiday work when requiredAbility to travel domestically & internationally (up to 50% during peak project phases)Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skillsPreferred SkillsExperience with robotics (Kawasaki, Fanuc, Yaskawa) — paint or assembly applicationsDigital engineering tools: CATIA, Delmia, SolidWorks, InventorExperience with manufacturing equipment procurement, layouts, or commissioningExperience with vision systems (Keyence, Cognex, etc.)Exposure to AGVs/AMRs and traffic control systemsAutomotive or high-volume manufacturing backgroundAdditional technical certificationsWork Environment & PPEAutomotive manufacturing plant environmentFollow all PPE requirements: steel-toe footwear, safety glasses, protective headwear (and additional PPE as required)Why Join CrossSafetyGrow your technical and leadership skills alongside an established and expanding professional consulting firmJoin a team of over 150 supportive and safety-focused professionals including Industrial Hygienists, Ergonomists, Safety Engineers, Construction Safety Specialists, and industry-leading engineering teamsAdvance your career by working Fortune 500 companies and in dynamic environments where your leadership truly mattersContribute to high-impact industrial and construction projects across the United StatesEqual Opportunity EmployerCrossSafety fosters an inclusive and respectful workplace.
