Data Center Technician - Relocation Required to Childress, TX

We are specifically seeking experienced data center engineers who are open to relocation for a long-term opportunity supporting a new, large-scale AI data center build for Dell . Relocation assistance provided Senior-level experience strongly preferred Local candidates welcome, but this role is relocation-first About the Role Unisys is seeking an experienced On-Site Service Engineer (OSE) to support enterprise data center and server environments, including next-generation AI platforms. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role focused on maintaining uptime, resolving complex hardware issues, and helping establish operational standards at a newly built data center site . Important: Senior engineers are required first to support site stand-up, stability, and mentorship. Engineers hired in this phase will play a foundational role in long-term operations. Prior AI experience is not required-strong data center and server fundamentals are what matter most. What You'll Do Provide onsite support for Dell server and data center systems, ensuring rapid issue resolution and minimal downtime Perform hardware maintenance including server builds, swaps, component replacements, and firmware updates Troubleshoot issues across hardware, firmware, and operating systems Support reactive and preventive maintenance following established procedures Partner with customers and internal teams during service events Document work performed and contribute to shared knowledge Participate in on-call rotations and extended coverage as required What You Bring Experience supporting servers or data center hardware in enterprise or customer-facing environments Hands-on expertise with server components (CPU, memory, power supplies, GPUs, full server swaps) Ability to work independently onsite in a production data center Strong troubleshooting and customer communication skills Willingness to support emerging technologies, including AI platforms Openness to relocation to Childress, TX (required) You will be successful in this role if you have Qualifications 3+ years of experience in data center, field service, or enterprise hardware support roles New build, expansion, or site stand-up experience strongly preferred Associate or Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience Dell or other OEM certifications a plus (not required) ***Due to potential government contract requirements, this position is limited to US Citizens or US Permanent Resident LI-AC1 This role may require access to export-controlled commodities and technology.
