Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

The candidate willmake things more secure byworking with customers throughout the system development life cycle to developpolicies,requirements, prototypes, demonstrations,architecturesand solutions thatprotect systems, keep computer systems and network devices hardened against attacks and securinghighly sensitivedata. Qualified candidates will have a background in security orsystems engineering.This is a fulltime position based in El Segundo, Ca whichrequires100% onsitework. Responsibilities Engineer, implement andmonitorsecurity measures for the protection of computer systems, networks and informationProvide the Government with systems security engineering and cybersecurityexpertise.Identifyand recommend strategies for mitigation and/or removal of ground and space cybersecurity vulnerabilitiesProvide cybersecurityexpertisein support of critical decision points and provide ground truth assessments of security events/activities and posture.Identifyand define system security requirementsDesign computersecurity architecture and develop detailed cybersecurity designsPrepare and document standard operating procedures and protocolsParticipate in risk management activities to ensure cybersecurity risks are evaluated and effective mitigations appliedin accordance withsecurity directives.Review of cybersecurity test procedures for requirements satisfaction, including participation in Test Readiness Review activities andwitnessingof test events.Participate in Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) planning and implementationConfigure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devicesDevelop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasksWritecomprehensive reports including assessment-based findings,outcomesand propositions for further system security enhancementWhatYou Need to be Successful BS degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, or relatedSTEMtechnicalfieldAt least 10years ofsystem securityorinformation security engineeringDemonstrated experience in one or more the following:Proven work experience as a system security engineer orinformation security engineer Demonstrated capability in mission definition, functional decomposition, requirements allocation, system design, and system lifecycle experience. Experience defining and analyzing threat/vulnerability likelihood, coupled with mission impact, to determine risk. Experiencing executing projects, which includes managing requirements, schedule, and budget. Hands on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering,etcExperience with network security and networking technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring toolsThorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocolsFamiliarity with web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocolsDemonstrated ability to analyze complex problems and deliver effective solutions in inhigh pressureenvironmentsProblem solving skills and ability to work under pressureThis position requires the ability to obtain andmaintaina security clearance issued by the US government. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
