Job Title: Technical Program Manager - IT Infrastructure Modernization (Contract)Role OverviewJoin a large, mission-driven public sector organization undergoing a significant technology transformation. This role offers the opportunity to lead critical infrastructure modernization initiatives that directly support operational resilience, scalability, and business continuity. As a Technical Program Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of complex infrastructure programs, driving alignment between technical execution and organizational objectives while coordinating cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners.Key ResponsibilitiesLead large-scale IT infrastructure programs consisting of multiple interconnected projects and workstreams from planning through successful delivery.Establish program governance, ownership structures, and accountability across teams.Drive execution of infrastructure modernization initiatives, ensuring solutions align with enterprise architecture and operational requirements.Coordinate cross-functional technical teams to manage dependencies, timelines, and deliverables.Partner with executive stakeholders to provide visibility into program progress, risks, and outcomes.Manage third-party vendors, including scope, deliverables, timelines, and overall performance.Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks before they impact delivery.Develop and execute IT Change Management (ITCM) and Organizational Change Management (OCM) strategies to support successful adoption.Track and report on program health, including schedules, budgets, resource allocation, milestones, and key performance metrics.Ensure infrastructure initiatives are delivered with minimal disruption to business operations.Education & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, Public Administration, Communications, or a related discipline.6+ years of IT project and/or program management experience.2+ years of experience managing programs consisting of multiple interconnected projects.Demonstrated success leading complex IT infrastructure modernization initiatives.Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid delivery methodologies, and PMBOK principles.Experience utilizing project management platforms such as Jira, MS Project, Planview, Clarity, Rally, or similar tools.Ability to successfully complete a comprehensive background investigation due to the nature of supported operations.Preferred ExperiencePMP and/or PgMP certification.Experience leading Data Center Consolidations.Experience with Enterprise Network Upgrades.Experience supporting Active Directory, ERP, or Data Warehouse implementations.Background leading technology RFP processes and vendor selection initiatives.Experience working within government, municipal, public safety, or highly regulated environments.Why UsOpportunity to lead highly visible, enterprise-wide modernization initiatives.Direct impact on critical infrastructure and long-term technology strategy.Exposure to executive leadership and cross-functional decision-making.Ability to drive meaningful transformation across complex technical environments.Collaborative environment focused on modernization, innovation, and operational excellence.Flexible 9/80 work schedule that provides every other Friday off.Benefits And PerksBase pay: $75 - $100 per hour9/80 work scheduleEvery other Friday offApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis now and in the future.
