Our client, a leading retail organization, is seeking a Project Coordinator (Contractor) to support merchandising space optimization and store retrofit initiatives across their U.S. retail footprint. This role is fully remote and will partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure store enhancements are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget. The Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the execution of merchandising plans, store mapping, and database management tied to retail space optimization initiatives. **Please note this is a remote, 12-month contract role based in San Francisco, CA. Pay will be $37/hr.** Key Responsibilities: Support the development and execution of merchandising strategies by updating and maintaining store maps, including seasonal updates and rebranding initiatives Coordinate and execute multiple store retrofit and enhancement projects across varying timelines and scopes Manage project timelines and ensure all deliverables are completed on schedule Maintain and update centralized databases related to store layouts, fixtures, and merchandising space Create and manage product assortments, including tracking inventory start and end dates impacted by store updates Partner with regional and field leadership to incorporate store-specific needs and ensure alignment on final plans Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as operations, procurement, marketing, and inventory to streamline execution Analyze store and product performance data to support merchandising decisions and optimize space productivity Assist in evaluating budget considerations, identifying cost-saving opportunities while supporting sales-driving initiatives Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in retail, preferably within merchandising, operations, or a related field Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a process-driven mindset Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment Strong proficiency in Excel (intermediate to advanced required) Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making informed decisions with limited information Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and levels Positive attitude with a strong sense of ownership and teamwork Please submit your resume for consideration!
