Job DescriptionPrepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects. Perform quantity takeoffs, evaluate specifications, and interpret drawings. Lead the bid process, including subcontractor outreach, qualification, and scope review. Develop budgets, value-engineering options, and cost-saving recommendations. Coordinate closely with project managers, superintendents, and clients. Analyze historical data, market conditions, and labor/material costs. Review proposals, negotiate pricing, and finalize bid packages. Support preconstruction meetings and project handoff processes. The Successful Applicant5-10+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction. Skilled in construction takeoff and estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, Sage, On-Screen Takeoff, etc.). Strong understanding of building systems, materials, subcontractor markets, and construction sequencing. Highly analytical with strong attention to detail. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally. Proven track record of producing accurate, timely, and competitive estimates.
