Standard Job DescriptionPerforms in a collaborative environment to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling.Drives adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement. Creates and analyzes 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions.Leverages understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence.Evaluates performance (including IoT devices, etc.) of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence.Leverages factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrates reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement. Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.Basic QualificationsAwarded Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering10 or more years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience in a defense industry production environment developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes10 or more years of hands-on experience with manufacturing and building hardware from engineering design productsMust have the ability to analyze electrical and mechanical schematics and diagramsMicrosoft Office suite experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelDesired SkillsGenerates manufacturing work instructions, process documentation, or standard operating proceduresExpert problem solving and analytical skillsExperience identifying, designing, and implementing custom tooling/jigs/fixtures for hardware manufacturingCoaches and provides technical guidance to early career engineersUses Creo and ZukenUses SAP, including Apriso and MPMLink, (QNotes, Routings, Bills of material) or a related manufacturing systemApplies design for manufacturing (DFM) conceptsImplements manufacturing processes for training systems and test equipmentApplies knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts and techniques and implements process improvementsWorks effectively in a team environment across manufacturing, and engineering, and program managementMultitasks in support of multiple concurrent programs and initiativesAdvance experience with Project/Product cost estimationAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with dynamic requirements evolving while design maturity is increasingExcellent verbal/written communications skillsSelf-starter with demonstrated self-initiated goals and resultsDetail-oriented due to the nature of electrical & electromechanical assembliesPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
