Our customers depend on extreme accuracy, tight tolerances, and machine reliability.We're hiring a Field Service Engineer I who thrives in technical environments, enjoys solving problems, and wants to work directly with customers to restore and optimize high-precision equipment.If you have experience in machining, grinding, or precision equipment and want to expand into field service, this is your opportunity.What You'll DoAs a Field Service Engineer I, you will be the primary technical contact for customers operating precision grinding equipment.Your responsibilities will include:Installing and commissioning precision electro-chemical grinding equipmentTroubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues in the fieldPerforming preventative maintenance and routine serviceReading and interpreting mechanical drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematicsApplying GD&T knowledge and machining fundamentals to diagnose performance issuesSupporting machine alignments, calibrations, upgrades, and field modificationsDocumenting service activities and maintaining accurate reportsEscalating complex technical issues to senior engineers when neededMaintaining high standards of safety and qualityYou will initially focus on one product line to build deep technical expertise, with opportunities to expand into additional equipment over time.What We're Looking ForRequired Experience & SkillsExperience working with machine tools (surface grinding, mills, lathes required)Foundational mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skillsKnowledge of GD&T and ability to read technical drawings and schematicsStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability2–5 years of experience in field service, machining, grinding operations, machine assembly, or industrial equipment supportAssociate degree or technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Machining, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)Valid driver's license with a good driving recordAbility to lift up to 50 poundsPreferredExperience with precision grinding equipmentBasic understanding of electrical circuits, sensors, motors, and controlsMitsubishi controls experienceKnowledge of G-CodeExperience using a ticket management systemTravel Expectations50–75% travel requiredOvernight stays and occasional international travelWork performed in industrial manufacturing environmentsThis role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, solving complex technical problems, and building strong customer relationships.Why Join MMT?Work on highly specialized precision equipmentGain exposure to advanced electro-chemical grinding technologyDevelop expertise alongside experienced senior engineersCompetitive benefits package including: Medical, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) with company match; Paid time off and company holidaysBenefits eligibility subject to plan terms and applicable law.Medical Manufacturing Technologies (MMT) is an equal opportunity employer.
