IT Manager - Systems Administrator
We are seeking a dynamic IT Manager - Systems Administrator to lead and optimize our organization's technology infrastructure. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing IT systems, ensuring seamless operations and robust security. Your expertise will drive solutions, enhance system performance, and support our strategic objectives.
· Oversee facility-wide IT systems from all IT perspectives: software, hardware, and usage for a manufacturing company.
· Maintains IT systems by planning, monitoring, and coordinating resources; internal and external
· Utilizes standard tools to coordinate all efforts
· Manages hardware and software installations and upgrades in a proactive manner as much as possible. Planning for any downtime during non-peak business hours
· Collaborate effectively with others by present ideas orally, in writing, and demonstration
· Utilizes effective, efficient change management strategies
· Offers coaching, leadership, and training to manage performance in and around IT systems to meet company objectives and stabilize processes
· Drafts informational documents to help company employees troubleshoot standard computer problems and navigate new programs and provides training as required
· Provides guidance on any system change requirements and improvements for decision making
· Participates in planning and designing technologies to meet the growing needs of the business including any upcoming requirements like cybersecurity, CMMC
· Safeguards assets by planning and implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and IT systems security and control structures
· Maintains safe and healthy working environment by ensuring that IT Technicians comply with organizational policies & procedures
· Monitors the productivity and performance levels of IT employees and conducting performance reviews
· Maintains effective relationships with other members of company management teams to determine and support their technology needs
· Coordinates all external IT resources including scheduling, project management and expected billing oversight
· Research new business technologies and IT software to strengthen the IT systems
· Implement new software programs and computer technologies that support organizational goals and objectives
· Delegate repair and installation requests among available IT resources
· Assist IT resources with complex installations or repairs as required
· Monitor inventory of available hardware devices or computer accessories to support purchasing needs within expected spending limits
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; advanced certifications preferred (e.g., CISSP, VMware Certified Professional).
Proven experience in system administration across multiple platforms including Windows Server, Linux/Unix systems (Ubuntu, CentOS).
Strong knowledge of network protocols such as DNS, DHCP; experience with computer networking concepts including load balancing and VPN setup.
Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure; familiarity with containerization tools such as Kubernetes or Docker.
Proficiency in scripting languages including Bash (Unix shell), Python; experience with DevOps practices like CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
Deep understanding of database management systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle; experience with SQL/T-SQL scripting for data manipulation.
Knowledge of IT infrastructure components such as RAID controllers, SAN/NAS storage solutions; familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to design scalable solutions within service-oriented architecture frameworks.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

· Must have proven experience with Windows servers, Microsoft Exchange servers, mobile devices, Windows 365 platform, Cloud based applications, and Microsoft Office Suite.

· Must have experience with project management methods and organization
· This employee must be able to work occasional nights and/or weekends to minimize business interruptions as necessary
· Experience with popular web application frameworks
· Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
· Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (GIT, Mercurial, Bit Bucket, etc.)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
· 5+ years of experience of managing IT systems including software, hardware, and people
· 2+ years of project management experience
· 5+ years providing technical support for web, desktop or mobile applications
· Documented experience in delivering customizations from ideation to completion/launch
· Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and cloud-based applications
· Experience working in a manufacturing operation

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
