PORT MADISON ENTERPRISESKIANA LODGEServerGeneral Position SummaryProvides guest service, resets table, cleans dining areas and assists Food and Beverage staff as needed.Essential Functions/Major ResponsibilitiesSees to all of the needs of the dining guests by providing clearly superior customer service.Sets and resets tables and keeps surrounding area clean and presentable, including cleaning menus, replenishing salt and pepper and other table items.Serves alcoholic beverages to guestsAssist other staff as requestedSecondary FunctionsOrganized and able to carry out tasks at direction of supervisor/(manager)Excellent customer service experienceUnderstanding of food preparation, storage and safetyAble to communicate well with both guests and employeesAble to work well with others, cooperative and friendlyMust be 16 years of ageQualificationsEducation and/or Experience: Some food preparation training helpful. One year of food handling experience necessary. Food handler’s card required. If 18, must be obtain a State of WA alcohol servers permit (TIPS card).Job ConditionsWorking conditions include working in dining areas during busy times of the day and night in smoky, noisy and crowded conditions. Conditions will also include frequent interruptions, evenings, weekends and holidays.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift 50 lb. while standing, twisting, or bending. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Manual and finger dexterity for handling serving dishes, and other equipment.
