Shop Technician (Downhole tools)

Position SummaryThe Shop Helper supports daily shop and test-area operations by assisting with equipment setup and teardown, moving materials, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and providing hands-on support to technicians, engineers. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, working with tools, and contributing to a team-oriented shop environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with setup and teardown of test equipment, fixtures, and tooling.Move, position, and secure tools, parts, and test assemblies using hand tools and material-handling equipment.Perform general shop labor, including cleaning, organizing, and maintaining work areas, test bays, and storage areas.Help with basic assembly and disassembly of tools and components under direction.Safely operate hand and power tools, forklifts, and overhead cranes as required.Support technicians during testing operations by staging equipment and materials.Follow all safety rules, procedures, and job safety analyses (JSAs).Report equipment issues, safety concerns, and housekeeping needs to supervision.Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting equipment within the facility.Perform other general labor and shop support tasks as assigned.QualificationsCommitment to working safely in an industrial environment.High School Diploma or GED required.Previous experience in a shop, warehouse, manufacturing, oilfield, or industrial environment preferred.Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools.Experience operating forklifts or overhead cranes is a plus (or willingness to be trained).Working knowledge of basic computer skills such as Microsoft Office.Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.Strong work ethic, reliability, and team-oriented attitude.Working ConditionsPhysically demanding position requiring standing, walking, climbing, and lifting (up to 80 lbs occasionally).Exposure to shop and test environments including noise, equipment, chemicals, and outdoor conditions.May require extended hours, overtime, or schedule flexibility based on workload.What We're Looking ForAt Enventure, safety and teamwork come first.
