The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of suicide prevention or sexual violence prevention (sexual assault and sexual harassment), along with strong analytical skills to identify and assess mainstream literature, develop innovative presentations for professional development, evaluate program doctrines, and conduct thorough evaluations of ongoing prevention program initiatives.

Direct experience working with foreign national children and youth or with anti-trafficking programs preferred. The Trafficking Analyst supports the Office on Trafficking in Persons (OTIP) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in Washington, DC. The position provides support to OTIP’s Protection Divisions victim assistance and service programs, primarily for activities associated with foreign national children, and adults, upon request.

In collaboration with the USFS International Programs office in Washington, DC, and the USFS West Africa Regional Advisor based in Accra, the USFS Technical Advisor for Ghana will be recruited to manage timber trafficking program implementation, maintain close relationships and strong communication with government partner staff, as well as with key members of the NGO community.

About the Program : The Africa Maritime Security Initiative (AMSI) program aims to improve African partners' maritime governance and enforcement, sustainment and preventive maintenance, and regional interoperability by building their capacity to address threats such as transnational organized crime; piracy; armed robbery at sea; illegal fishing; and the trafficking of arms, drugs, and persons.
