Light Duty Driver

Light Duty Tow Driver $1,500 Sign on Bonus in State and $2,500 Sign on Bonus Out of State.Guardian Fleet Services is looking for a new team member to join our growing family. The Light Duty Tow Truck Driver will be driving a commercial towing and recovery vehicle with a GVWR rating of less than 25,999 lbs. and must possess a valid driver's license relative to the vehicle being operated and towed combination.Essential Duties:Reliable, strong customer service and professional demeanorAbility to drive and perform duties via interstate for towing, recovery, and/or transportAbility to communicate and work closely with DispatchAbility to perform vehicle inspection sheet daily, identifying any mechanical issuesAbility to follow all safety requirements and DOT rules and regulationsReport all mechanical issues with regard to trucks and trailers at the time of discovery.Ability to work with software and computer programs i.e. Samsara, GPS, and Tow book a plusOther duties as assigned.Competencies and AbilitiesSafety is our number one priority.Strong customer service skills, professional demeanorMust be able to speak, write and communicate in EnglishAbility to communicate calmly and effectivelyBasic technology skills. Ability to use GPS, company-issued software, mobile deviceTime management skillsBasic mechanical skills and ability to use toolsAttention to detail and accuracy when documenting work, hours, and informationQualifications, Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED (preferred).Relevant trade school - Towing, recovery or transport accreditation.At least two (2) years of relative commercial driving experience.Basic mechanical skills and ability to use tools.Physical RequirementsJob requires lifting, crawling, pulling, constant use of hands, significant bending and reaching, climbing. Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, working outdoors in the environment can be exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud.
