Opportunity: RN - PICU Job Details: • Work 36 hours per week on night shifts • 13-week assignment duration • Must have minimum 1 year of experience in a traveler setting - first-time travelers will not be accepted • CICU/CVPICU experience must be clearly documented in work history • Must be a critical care nurse with pediatric CICU experience (at least 1 year required) • Patient ratios of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends • Float as needed to cardiac medical surgical floor to assist with patients • May float between main facility and sister hospital in Overland Park, KS (approximately 12 miles southwest) • Self-scheduling system • Weekend coverage required • Work with patient age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents • Handle patient diagnoses including congenital heart defects, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, and myo/endocarditis • Operate special equipment including CRRT, ECMO, VADs, advanced monitoring lines, and arterial/CVP lines • Required certifications: BLS, PALS, CCRN (only AHA certifications accepted, RQI will not be accepted) • Must have both Missouri/compact license and Kansas license • Pass medication/dosage test in first week with 100% accuracy (3 attempts given) • Scrub color: Any kid-friendly color or pattern • Charting system: Cerner • Free parking with permit • Smoke-free facility Facility: This renowned children's hospital has been named one of the best children's hospitals in America and operates as a Magnet-designated teaching facility with Level I Trauma Center and Level IV NICU capabilities.
