Job DescriptionFirst Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a Vice President, Senior Credit Officer & Team Leader to join the Credit Department.CompensationThe pay range for the role is $100,000 - $125,000/yr; commensurate with experienceThe successful candidate will be hired for the level of the position that aligns with their experience.ScheduleMonday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM (hours may vary)ResponsibilitiesIn this role, the Senior Credit Underwriter & Team Leader is responsible for supervising a team of Underwriters and/or Credit Analysts, working with Commercial Banking Centers, underwriting complex credit requests, financial analysis and enterprise valuation. The Senior Credit Underwriter & Team Leader is responsible for training and developing the Credit Analysts and Underwriters and also assists to provide administrative and technical support to the Credit Department Manager.QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have: Bachelor's degree in business administration, related fields, or equivalent work experience required5+ years of commercial lending and management experience preferred7 years of experience in commercial lending, including at least 3 years of credit underwriting requiredFinancial analysis - solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principlesMust be organized, detail oriented, and accurate when working with numbersEffective oral, written and interpersonal skills requiredStrong quantitative skills including the ability to source data, analyze financial statements and conduct sensitivity analysisDemonstrate an ability to present the outcomes of complex, technical analytic approaches to a non-technical audienceStrong credit background essentialSolid organizational skills with ability to prioritize effectively in a multi-tasking environment and meet deadlines with quality resultsThoroughness, attention to detail, and excellent follow-through
