Purchasing Manager (Abilene)

We're partnering with a growing, inventory-intensive organization looking to bring on a Purchasing Manager to lead procurement, vendor strategy, and inventory operations. This is a hands-on leadership role with high visibility and impact across the business.What You'll Do:• Own all purchasing and procurement activities• Lead vendor negotiations, pricing strategy, and supplier relationships• Manage $20M+ in annual spend across multiple vendors• Oversee inventory forecasting, replenishment, and optimization• Partner closely with warehouse and receiving teams• Lead and develop purchasing and/or warehouse staff• Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive margin improvement• Enhance procurement processes, systems, and overall efficiencyWhat Success Looks Like:• Strong, long-term vendor partnerships• Improved margins through strategic purchasing• Optimized inventory levels and reduced waste• Elevated structure and leadership across procurement operationsWhat You Bring:• 8+ years of purchasing/procurement experience• Proven success in vendor negotiations and pricing strategy• Experience managing $20M+ in annual spend• Strong inventory management and forecasting expertise• Leadership experience with a hands-on approach• Ability to thrive in an operational, fast-paced environmentLocation: On-siteType: Contract-to-Hire
