Senior Project Manager:
On behalf of our Public Sector client, Procom is searching for a Senior Project Manager for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2-3 days onsite at our client’s Aurora, Ontario office.
Senior Project Manager - Job Description:
The Senior Project Manager will lead a critical project focused on large-scale infrastructure development. This role involves managing complex project plans and ensuring deliverables meet business requirements on time, within scope, and budget, with a focus on cost-effectiveness and compliance with OPS methodologies.
Senior Project Manager - Responsibilities:
• Provides project management on large-scale, complex, high-profile, and high-risk projects for OPS I&IT initiatives.
• Ensures project deliverables meet clients’ business requirements on time, scope, and budget.
• Leads organizational development, strategy development, business planning, and Ministry funding requests.
• Develops and manages project schedules, deliverables, and scope.
• Resolves resourcing and interpersonal conflicts and negotiates changes to resourcing.
• Develops complex project budgets and manages large project budgets ensuring fiscal control and accountability.
• Establishes and participates in steering committee and stakeholder forums.
Senior Project Manager - Mandatory Skills:
• Executive-level briefing experience.
• Previous experience in successfully managing infrastructure development projects.
• Experience with public sector business case/funding acquisition and competitive procurements.
• Experience managing large-scale, complex, integrated project plans and implementation plans.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
• Extensive experience managing procurement and purchasing initiatives, including vendor management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Senior Project Manager – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Knowledge and understanding of PMBOK.
• Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles.
• Knowledge of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
• Experience managing and coordinating project monitoring and improving project effectiveness.
• Ability to manage client relationships and set and manage expectations.
Senior Project Manager – Assignment Length:
This position is initially for a 6-month contract with a potential extension of up to 1 year.
