Senior Staff DevOps Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Staff Devops Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will lead operational priorities where safety, quality, compliance, and execution discipline are central to success. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a technology-driven environment.Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $142,500 – $240,248 annuallyResponsibilities Lead the full lifecycle of service mesh implementation in production Define service mesh standards and governance for the organization Mentor engineers on service mesh architecture and troubleshooting Design and optimize production Kubernetes clusters on AWS Automate deployment and incident response using GitOps and CI/CD Collaborate with development teams to safely release new features Support and ensure compliance with PCI DSS standardsQualifications Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience 3+ years experience implementing service mesh in production Kubernetes environments 10+ years in 24x7 production operations in cloud or SaaS environments 5+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes at scale 5+ years of experience with Terraform and managing infrastructure across multiple AWS accountsBenefits Fully remote position for candidates in the USA or Canada Participation in an on-call rotation is required Approximately 10% travel to headquarters in Austin, TX, for meetings Collaborate with global teams across multiple time zonesOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
