Description :The Phlebotomy Support Technician is responsible for the collection and processing of blood and other specimens as directed. Performs proper specimen collection by confirming patient ID, collecting specimens in proper tubes, utilizing venipuncture/capillary techniques, and accurately labeling the specimens to ensure accurate patient results. Processes specimens appropriately for subsequent testing. Accessions, updates information and makes corrections to orders as needed.
