Product Development Manager

Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly organized and creative Product Development Manager to lead the end-to-end development of socks and beanies. This role is responsible for transforming concepts into commercially successful products by collaborating cross-functionally with design, sourcing, merchandising, and production teams. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of knit accessories, material innovation, and global manufacturing processes.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Development & ExecutionManage the full product lifecycle from concept through production for socks and beaniesPartner with design teams to translate creative concepts into technical specificationsDevelop seasonal product assortments aligned with brand strategy and market trendsEnsure product quality, fit, performance, and cost targets are metOversee sample development, fittings, and wear testingApprove prototypes and production samplesEnsure all products meet company standards and regulatory requirements Vendor ManagementMaintain relationships with domestic and international factoriesMaterials & InnovationResearch and source yarns, fabrics, trims, and sustainable materialsStay informed on industry trends, technologies, and innovations in knitwearDrive and expand on our existing development of performance features (e.g., moisture-wicking, thermal insulation)Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with design to align product with consumer demand Coordinate with production and logistics teams to ensure on-time deliveryCommunicate development timelines, risks, and updates to stakeholdersQualificationsBachelor's degree in Product Development, Fashion Merchandising, Textile Engineering, or related field4–7+ years of experience in product development, preferably in accessories or knitwearStrong knowledge of sock and beanie construction, yarns, and knitting techniquesExperience working with overseas manufacturers and supply chainsExcellent project management and organizational skillsStrong communication abilitiesProficiency in PLM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)Preferred QualificationsExperience with performance or technical knit productsKey CompetenciesAttention to detail and problem-solving mindsetAbility to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentStrong analytical and decision-making skillsCollaborative and team-oriented approach
