Digital Business Architect (Guidewire)For a leading client of mine we are looking for a Digital Business Architect (Guidewire) for both perm and freelance opportunities!If you are someone who is a master at solving complex issues and are driven to create cutting-edge solutions within the insurance industry, then do not delay in applying!The team you will be working with is composed of skilled UX designers, developer and more. We are searching for individuals with substantial experience in the Insurance domain (P&C is a plus!) to contribute to business processes, UX design, and digital engineering across various client projects in an agile and dynamic setting.Core Responsibilities & Skills:Guidewire (Either Policycenter, Billing Center or Insurance Suite)Act as an industry expert in insurance, advising clients on digital business strategies and guiding them on implementing solutions using our Cloud Platform.Apply Design Thinking methodologies to facilitate discussions and develop innovative, customer-centric solutions for insurance providers.Collaborate with business units of insurance carriers and SI partners in business, technology, and UX domains to create business requirements and process documentation.Master the functionality of our applications to serve as a customer-facing consultant in professional services.Assist in estimating the configuration effort required for software solutions.Engage with product management and development teams to communicate configuration concepts and contribute to enhancing core product features.Support the planning and execution of user acceptance testing for customer solutions.Offer guidance on balancing scope, timeline, and objectives.Effectively communicate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and secure necessary buy-in.Operate within an Agile framework.As a senior team member, help build capabilities across people, practices, and tools to support the wider team.Strong consulting and leadership abilities, with the flexibility to adapt to various work environments and take on advisory or leadership roles.Exceptional communication skills, with a knack for influencing decision-making processes.Skill in identifying when business requirements are out of scope.Experience in software implementation projects, including requirements gathering, drafting functional specifications, and conducting user acceptance testing.Proficiency in implementing software packages through customization or configuration, especially within Agile methodologies.Understanding of project lifecycle methodologies.Experience in applying change management practices to software implementation projects.Excellent documentation skills, with the ability to facilitate discussions between technical and business stakeholders.Familiarity with object-oriented design principles and databases; knowledge of web technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, Figma, SQL, and/or CSS is a plus.Experience working with UX, Data, and Digital teams is advantageous. Familiarity with a design-led approach is also a plusNice to have:Experience in the P&C insurance industry, with a particular emphasis on customer-facing processes and operations.Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.Experience in researching solutions and collaborating with subject matter experts.Ability to work in uncertain conditions, develop user stories, and manage customer expectations within design system parameters.The ideal candidate will have profound knowledge of front-office and mid-office operations throughout the insurance value chain, coupled with the experience of leveraging technology to address the needs of insurers. You should possess a blend of the skills and experience highlighted in this job description.Location: Remote, United KingdomSalary: Negotiable depending on experience.Rates (For freelancers): Circa £75 to £110 per hour depending on experience.
