Job Description:Position DescriptionThis Data Developer position will be primarily responsible for development, enhancement, troubleshooting, and maintenance of data-focused software solutions using T-SQL, SSIS, PowerBI and other BI and Data Visualization tools, in support of various ADE business processes, data analysis, and reporting requirements. The successful developer will be solution-oriented, adapt to changing environments, and able to work with minimal defined requirements. Preferred candidates will be investigative, detail-oriented problem solvers who understand the power of data and the criticality of its quality.ResponsibilitiesDevelop T-SQL for creation and maintenance of database objects and ETL solutionsBuild interactive data visualizations, analytics, and dashboards using Power BISupport and maintain existing SSRS reporting solutionsParticipate in all phases of the data solutions development and maintenance lifecyclePerform impact analysis on change requests and provide development effort estimatesParticipate in collaborative design and requirement definition sessionsAssist in documenting technical specifications based on business requirementsSupport defect analysis and resolution activitiesWork with the lead Data Architect to implement data architecture principlesCollaborate with the data team to design efficient data loading and management processesPerform data quality assessments to ensure source data meets information requirementsDevelop business rules, data mappings, and transformation logicSupport SQL Server data repositories including documentation and data validationAnalyze datasets to identify missing, incomplete, or invalid dataMaintain formal documentation of data structures and architectureWork closely with cross-functional teams including PM, BA, QA, and OperationsParticipate in Agile/Scrum activities such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectivesPerform other duties as assignedRequired SkillsSQL Server development using T-SQL and SSISIntermediate to advanced relational database design and modelingExperience with Power BI, SSRS, and other data visualization toolsStrong understanding of data development best practices and patternsAbility to work in a collaborative and distributed team environmentStrong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality of sensitive dataExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred SkillsWorking knowledge of Data Vault data modeling methodologyExperience with Microsoft Azure data technologiesExperience Required5+ years of professional Data Development experience with relational databasesExperience PreferredExperience working in Agile/Scrum environmentsExperience in Education or Government sectorFamiliarity with Special Education programs and servicesRequired Skills (Highlighted)T-SQL (Expert Level)SSISPreferred Skills (Highlighted)Power BISSRSAzureData VaultData Modeling
